Meet The Founder

Hi, I’m Brooke Hogg, founder of The Mental Coach, LLC. I created this platform out of a meaningful purpose for helping athletes thrive, not just physically, but mentally.

 Mental Health vs. Mental Performance

While often used interchangeably, mental health and mental performance serve different, yet equally important, roles in an athlete’s overall well-being and success.

Focuses on optimizing mindset and mental skills specifically related to sport. It involves strategies to improve focus, confidence, composure, motivation, goal setting, and resilience in competitive environments. Mental performance training helps athletes perform consistently under pressure, recover from setbacks, and stay mentally resilient during games and practices.

Refers to an individual’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It impacts how athletes think, feel, and behave on and off the field. Mental health includes managing stress, coping with life’s challenges, maintaining relationships, and addressing issues like anxiety, depression, or burnout. Supporting an athlete’s mental health ensures they have a strong foundation to function and feel well in everyday life.
